Goniometers are a measuring tool used to calculate the range of motion (ROM) at a joint. There are different sizes of goniometer, each useful for measuring the ROM at various joints. This 6" tool is ideal for assessing smaller joint locations, such as the wrists and ankles.
This handy measuring tool can be used to measure both the active joint range, when a patient bends or straightens their own joints, and the passive joint range whereby the bending or stretching is done by an external force. To effectively measure joint motion, the goniometer features one stationary and one moving arm.
- Clear plastic goniometer for measuring the range of motion at smaller joints Ideal for use by physiotherapists to monitor patient recovery
- 6", 8" or 12" size enables easy measuring of the ROM at the wrists and ankles
- 360° head has three scales calibrated for use with the International Standards of Measurement (ISOM) system
- Linear scales offer measurements in both inches and centimetres
