Allergies to metal have been a serious problem in the area of medical instrumentation, where stainless steel has long been used. However, the possibility of allergic reactions to its component metals, nickel and chromium, has led to the increased use of titanium.
In the medical field, titanium's high level of bio-compatibility has had to its use in artificial bones and joints. Because titanium has a high melting point and is chemically active, its mechanical processing is complicated and the elimination of impurities is difficult, if not impossible. Thus the production of smooth, high-purity pellets of the appropriate size has ling been a challenge to the industry.
After years of research and testing, a new method has been developed in which titanium pellets are produced by melting titanium with high-temperature plasma in a clean, inert gas. This special method enables high-purity titanium to be produced for use in the acupuncture pellets.
These pellets can be used in treatment without any fear of disintegration caused by impurities or oxidization. The pellets are hypoallergenic and are free from unwanted side effects.
This Titanium Accu-Patch pellets have been approved by the Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare in recognition of their outstanding safety and stability.
