Auricular Acupuncture

This book presents an important step forward in the field of Auricular Acupuncture, providing the most thorough explanation yet published in English. The Auricular Acupuncture encompasses both traditional and modern technique, with in-depth review of over 150 points located on the lateral aspects of the ear. A separate section describes the use the application of 48 points located on the medical aspect of the ear- only eight are usually included in books on this topic.

Apply moderate and strong stimulation alternately for 15 to 20 minutes. Both manual manipulation and electro-stimulation are effective. Treat once every three to five days. Apply sub-dermal ear needles to Shenmen (94) and Lung points, to be retained in between each treatment. Manipulate frequently.

Remarks: It is important to explain to patient during treatment how smoking is harmful to general health.

For body acupuncture the following points are recommonded:
Hoku (Large Intestine 4), Chize (Lung 5)
Zusanli (Stomach 36), Sanyinjiao (Spleen 6)

Supplementary points:

Upper Back [Extra 1] Middle Back [Extra 2] Lower Back [Extra 3]

Apply moderate stimulation for 20 minutes. Treat once a day for three days and then two or three a week for a total of seven or eight sessions. Supplementary points can be added depending upon the site of the skin irritation.

Repeat treatments at monthly intervals if necessary.
