AGISTIM Duo

The AGISTIM duo is able to stimulate points simultaneously with different frequencies or modes of emission, with 8 needles or electrodes. AGISTIM duo can, e.g. stimulate 4 needles (two pairs) at high frequency in intermediation mode, and another 4 needles in low frequency in continuous mode.

The quality of stimulation depends to a large extent on the form of the pulse of current. The AGISTIM duo generates biphasic pulses which have been thoroughly tested for their efficiency in acupuncture.

The AGISTIM duo allows a choice of frequency of stimulation between 1 and 99 Hz in steps of 0.1 or 1.0 Hz. It is also possible to directly select one of the 7 Nogier Frequencies A to G (1.14 to 73 Hz.)

The pulses can be emitted in several modes:
* fixed frequency, continuous or with rest times
* frequency scanning.
The modes of emission can be identical or different in the two groups of channels.

The settings are visible permanently both at the front of the device and on the display window.

The AGISTIM duo is supplied from the mains via a specific adapter assuring a very low safety voltage that confirms to the norms for electro-medical devices.

The stimulation can only start if the potentiometers regulating the outgoing currents are reset to zero as defined in the norm CEI 601-2-10. A self-contained and built-in security system stops the stimulator if the frequency or the intensity exceeds the maximal allowed values.

Bi-phasic pulse - as the pulses have no direct electrical bias, this avoids the accumulation of charges on contact and therefore any burning. In addition, the insulated needle connectors protect the skin from all unnecessary contact which could cause redness.
