HISTORY

The technique of kinesiology taping was developed 30 years ago by a Japanese chiropractor, Dr. Kenzo Kase. He developed his own tape and taping methods that was able to assist the body in healing traumatised tissue. Other athletic sport tapes are just providing support, but are not elastic enough to be similar to skin and muscles. In 1988 this kinesiology taping gained worldwide exposure when Japanese athletes at the Seoul Olympics used it. The technique then spread to the USA and to Europe. In the meantime several amended methods of kinesiology taping are developed and applied all over the world.
